Our Practice Philosophy

Fat grafting, injectable fillers, minimal incision nasal, eyelid, breast and buttock surgery now allow us to sculpt body areas not previously imaginable. Yet the artistic eye and gentle touch are essential to obtaining the natural, enhanced appearance that make plastic surgery such a gratifying experience.
Minimally invasive approaches in addition to careful attention to local anesthesia and patient's emotional needs aid in dramatically reducing pain, scarring and recuperation time.
It is this combination of talent and science with a highly trained and compassionate staff, a warm comfortable environment and state of the art facilities that we are fortunate enough to offer our patients. Our office manager has 19 years experience working for our patient's benefit and safety. Surgical assistants and nurses have been hospital trained at N.Y.U. and other academic teaching hospitals. They have further enhanced their experience with years of treating cosmetic surgical patients and procedures. Our anesthesiologists have more than 25 years of care giving to ambulatory surgery patients without major complications. They provide safe and pain-free anesthesia to even the most anxious of patients. We will tailor the level of anesthesia to your needs. Even with full anesthesia you can usually leave our facility within one to two hours.
Dr. Cenedese has been featured on major television networks, New York newspapers and quoted in New York Magazine. His surgical skills and personality inspired a French documentary on the dynamics of breast augmentation.
Nutrition Weight Loss and Exercise
By now most plastic surgeons and many patients realize that optimal surgical results can be optimized and maintained with proper nutrition and exercise. The best results of body contouring procedures are seen on patients that also exercise and have lost weight. Many patients do not know what the best form of exercize is for them, whether they should lose weight before or after a procedure, what and when they should eat and avoid eating.
My philosphy is a simple one. Eat foods that are less processed, prepared and more natural. Fresh colored vegetables and fruits, whole grains, meats high in protein and low in fat, nuts, berries, colorful vegetables, legumes and wild fish. Minimize your sugar, carbohydrate and fat intake and it is difficult not to lose weight. Eat smaller meals preferably prepared at home: you know what size a portion is appropriate at what time of the day. Do not eat late and avoid diet medications. These can give you a jump start. Your body eventually becomes accustomed to them and puts you back where you started.
Starvation diets also act the same way; people can not maintain them and revert to old habits and customs.
If you plan to lose weight do so prior to a facelift or tummy tuck. Losing weight after these procedures will most likely lead to disappointment and re-operation.
Liposuction is best accompanied by weight loss in the patient who is overweight.
One pound lost per week can lead to 10 pounds in a few months and 25 pounds over a year.
All forms of exercise are beneficial to the body and mind. A good program consists of cardiovascular and muscle strenghtening exercises 4 to 6 times a week. These can take as little as 20 minutes wherever you feel most comfortable. The key is to find an enjoyable exercise and maintain a program for life. Dropping out after a few months of training will not make much of an impact on anyone's life or appearance. Incorporating exercise into your daily routine will not only improve your health and the results of liposuction and body contouring but help to keep you from overeating.
